2010 Infiniti QX Review
By Geof Ryan
The 2010 Infiniti QX series is marketed with noticeable changes and offered with a new addition; the Infiniti QX56. It is the large premium SUV for this 2010 model year. It is a luxury-trimmed edition from Nissan; the parent company of Infinity. The 5.6-liter V8 engine is matched to a single power-train along with five-speed automatic transmission.
The new QX is available with rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive mechanism that can be used on the dehydrated pavement as well as a low-range gear for the purpose of off-roading. The towing capacity of the engine is as high as 9000 lbs, which is far beyond the standard 6000-7000lbs mark.
Apart from the standard safety features like front side airbags, curtain side airbags, antiskid system, ABS, and traction control, this impressive vehicle has 2nd-row bucket seats/bench to accommodate up to eight passengers respectively. It also has a power-folding 3rd-row bench that splits in to 60/40. However, the interior room isn't spacious enough for eight adult passengers; so probably it can be considered enough for 7 grown ups, and a kid.
A rearview camera, 20" alloy wheels, load-leveling suspension, airbag occupancy sensor, wireless cell-phone link, rear-obstacle detection, and a navigation system are the luxury features offered in the new QX 56 model.
The 2010 Infiniti QX is marketed in the price range of $56,050 to $59,150. All in all, it is a handsome package with advanced luxury amenities, spacious seating arrangement, and all that you can dream of, in a midsize SUV; but, it is slightly over-priced in comparison to its competitors.
